• Yes, in order for this to be connected to your phone and give you alerts, etc., you do need to connect to wifi when initially setting up the camera.

• You can connect the Arlo Essential Indoor Camera directly to your 2.4 GHz WiFi network. You can optionally connect the camera to one of the following SmartHubs or base stations: VMB5000, VMB4540, VMB4500, or VMB4000. ^KN
