“Solar panel will charge the battery when the sun is out, is there an over charge protection built in the system ? Will shorten the life of the unit ? When battery dies, can solar panel bypass the battery and runs the camera while the sun is out ?”

• The Arlo solar panel was designed to trickle charge your camera. Your camera will not overcharge with the solar panel connected.

• The camera will operate while charging and the charging does not continue when the battery is full. It is also temperature sensitive. If the temperature goes below zero, the camera, if mounted outside, will not operate.
