• A:Answer Yes, Arlo runs on it's own system, so you can have it entirely separate. We have several of these cameras in addition to a traditional alarm system. The only thing I recommend is that you have a good, strong router, as that has been our only area of concern since we've installed Arlo cameras throughout the house.

• A:Answer I still have older Arlo cameras in operation. This require removing the individual camera from its stand, remove the battery and insert the battery into the charging station. Easy!

Q: QuestionTo capture passersby after dark, does the camera use a spotlight? I want to use one of the cameras to spot wildlife in our yard, but don't want to be blasting the wildlife (or anyone passing by) with a light after sunset. Thank you!

• A:Answer You can turn the spotlight off. Does use infrared lights for night vision that you can see if looking at the camera. You can turn those off as well, but will not capture anything at night if you do.

• A:Answer The Arlo Essential 3 pack of cameras includes the cameras, mounting brackets and screws and 1 USB cord for charging. We were having to take the cameras down to charge every 2 weeks. We invested in the solar panels for each so we no longer have to worry about charging them

Q: QuestionI purchased a 4 pack of Arlo cameras back in summer of 2023. One by one they have failed. They won’t charge the internal battery anymore and just make a random clicking noise while trying to charge. Of course I didn’t purchase an extended warranty.
