• The Arlo Essential XL 2nd Gen Outdoor Camera is battery-operated. However, you have the option to connect the Arlo Camera to a compatible 25' Outdoor Charging Cable or a compatible Arlo Solar Panel, both of which are sold separately.

• They are battery only but you should be able to use an exterior charging cable and keep it plugged in all the time. They also sell a solar charger that does a good job of keeping the battery fully charged.
