The arlo pro 2 has a microphone that you can hear and speak to someone and is extremely clear to see who's at the door. I have one of my cameras for exactly that reason. But you need the arlo app on a phone or tablet to do that. It's great if you're not home

If I want to, I am able to press on my mobile phone the microphone icon and speak to that person. You have the capacity to configure the settings on you base kit so that you can gets alerts on your phone if it senses movement or and noise. You also have the capacity to push an icon on your phone to activate an alarm (which is extremely loud) and warn anyone trying to get in. I have one of this cameras in my Kitchen, so when I am out I am able to talk into the cameras so my dogs can listen to my voice.
