A:AnswerLiving here in Idaho, we also get some pretty extreme cold climate. Having had the “Arlo” cameras for some 10 years now, they have yet to fail due to any cold or wet conditions. The batteries continue to last on a single charge approximately 6 months depending upon how much they are used and/or activated. “Hope that helps?”
A:AnswerThe “Arlo” cameras are pretty resilient against moisture and outdoor temperatures however, I wouldn’t recommend mounting them in the direct area where rain is likely heavy. Generally under an over hanging eve is recommended. They are not considered completely waterproof but are somewhat resistant to moisture and cold climates. Hope this helps?
A:AnswerYou can personalize your Arlo cameras to record videos from approximately 10 to 120 seconds long. On Arlo Pro 4, you can also set your camera to record until motion stops, up to 300 seconds (5 minutes).
A:AnswerAfter the Trial Subscription expires, if you do not purchase a subscription you can not save videos locally if you have an Arlo Hub/Base Station. Video format is MP4. I have gone back to using Arlo Pro 2 cameras.
A:AnswerBatter "charge" is not one of the strong element of these type of cameras. Basically, l it depends on the sensitivity settings that you use for alerts/alarms. The higher the level of sensitivity, the faster the battery charge will be depleted. I purchased an extra set of batteries and have change them out every 3-4 days.
