The Arlo Pro 5 can connect to any 2.4 or 5 GHz wireless connection, an Arlo Base Station is not required. Once connected, you can view the Arlo Pro 5 camera from your phone from anywhere
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Not sure about hot spot but these cameras work with just Wi Fi or just base station. Base station doesn't have as broad a coverage as most wi fi router does.
