YES, Anything that moves will trigger the camaera and drain battery. My battery wentdead in two days filming my palm tree swaying in the wind. You may be able to reduce the sensitivity of the camera to meet your needs.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I’ve haven’t experienced a moving tree branch causing an alert in the couple years we’ve been using Arlo cameras. We do get the occasional bird. Interestingly, the Arlo alerts will tell you if it thinks it’s an animal or person who initiated the motion.
