“This is my first security camera purchase. Looking to video horse in stall. What do I need to purchase? Can I get the Arlo 3 ("add on camera" altho that may be a clue I need more!) or do I need to purchase a base system? What else do i need to get?”

If you have internet and wifi service at the location where you plan to mount the camera, then any of the Arlo Essential camera series or the Arlo Pro 4 would be a good option for you. These camera models do not require an Arlo base station for them to work as they connect through wifi. If you are looking to get a camera that uses cellular service to get internet, we suggest to check Arlo Go camera. ^RM
