I'm happy with the modem and the wireless options. Additional Considerations 3. This modem does NOT include telephone. If you want telephone you need a different modem or an additional device. In my case, WAVE provided a telephone interface and it all works well. If fyou plan to add a telephone line to the cable service, you might as well pay for the next bigger modem. 4. Note -- this device does not have a physical WPS button. The WPS button is in the sofware. If you plan to attach a wireless printer or an extender to your wireless network you will need to root around in the software to find the WPS interface. 192.168.0.1 That one. It worked quite well, once I got it figured-out, but it took a while. The wireless coverage is good. I added an extender just for the fun of it and bedause I had three extras in my tool box. I get signal about 100' around my house. 5. The written instructions are almost useless. BUT, they are accurate and necessary for the initial installation. My cable installer worked with me until everything worked. 6. THis is a "slow" modem compared to the newest modems. Even so, it was far, far faster than my useless Century-Link DSL (3mbps) and I am running happily without incident. I'm not a gamer, so I chose the 100mbps speed and now I have all the data I can use.
