The wifi signal from this gateway is good. I'd say it's about the same as the Comcast rented gsteway. One thing to note is that this modem will output to different networks. One network will output at 2.4 gigahertz. The other network will output the 5 gigahertz. If you want a strong signal, then use the 2.4 gigahertz network. It's possible that people aren't even aware of this, and they're using the 5 gigahertz (a high possibility since that's what the default network was in my case). As a result of using the 5 gigahertz network, they come here to say that it's weak. It's actually not weak. I find that the signal is perfectly fine. By the way, the reason why the 5 gigahertz is said to be weaker signal (although faster) is because it has a longer wavelength which is harder to penetrate walls and dense objects that may be between you and your equipment.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I wouldn't recommend it for the PS4, unless the PS4 was in close proximity to the modem. It works well was smartphones, but the range sucks. Once you step outside your home on the porch or patio you may lose the signal or it'll become very weak. The original Xfinity modem that I had range was greater. I could sit outside on my porch or patio and lost no connection strength.

It is suitable for speed tiers of upto 250 Mbps with Xfintiy's service and would work well with your Playstation, laptops and Roku stick
