According to Xfinity's website, ARRIS SBG10 is NOT ideal for the 1000Mbps speed plan. I purchased ARRIS SBG10 as I'm on the 300Mbps speed plan, which works great - but for the 600Mbps or 1000Mbps speed tiers, you won't be taking full advantage of your speed plan. As of 8/18/20, here are the cable modems Xfinity recommends for the 1000Mpbs speed, sorted by download speed: - ARRIS T25 (Cable Modem with voice) - ARRIS SBG8300 (Cable modem and wifi router) - ARRIS SB8200 (Cable modem) - Motorola MB8600 (Cable modem) - Netgear CM2000 (Cable modem) - Netgear CM1200 (Cable modem) - Netgear CM1150V (Cable modem with voice) - Netgear CM1100 (Cable modem) - Netgear CM1000v2 (Cable modem) - Netgear CM1000-1AZNAS (Cable modem) - Netgear CM1000 (Cable modem) - Netgear CAX80 (Cable modem and Wifi Router) - Netgear C7800 (Cable modem and Wifi Router)
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. To avail gigabit speeds on your devices with Xfinity's 1000 Mbps plan, you would have to make sure of the following: - 1. You have a DOCSIS 3.1 modem (like SB8200, SBG10 is DOCSIS 3.0 so it won't give you gigabit speeds) 2. You have client devices in your home that have gigabit + speed capabilties
