• You need to have a internet provider. If you have xfinity the technician will set it up for you. If you do not wish for a technician to set it up, you can call and they will walk you through it. Make sure that it is compatible with your service provider. Once it is set up you download an app to your phone and you put your password. You can also change the name on the router. WiFi will be available once everything is set up. You do not need to buy a router with this modem. Hope that helps.
