“I purchased the Arris SBV3202 modem; however, I can not find a back-u battery. Need that so I won't loose service when the power goes out. Have tried Best Buy, Arris, Amazon, Batteries Plus, and ABT electronics. No one has the backup battery.”

Have you ever thought of a UPS? I have one that does modem and router. It also conditions the voltage.
