This SB modem is not wireless. The model letters indicate type pf device. SB (Surf Board)-means you get access to internet. SBG (Surg Board Gateway) means it is wireless capable. Bluetooth is device to device. Modems don't affect Bluetooth, BUT you need wireless for Bluetooth to communicate between the devices you are using. An example would be to play music from your phone to an external speaker. When the devices are both connected to the WiFi network, they will work.

I purchased this same make and model from another company and it seemed to indicate that it was a wireless modem. Sadly it is not and I plan to return it. If it helps to know, I called Comcast to set it up and the technician said I could get a router and connect it to this modem. Not sure about Bluetooth since I don't use that feature, but if it isn't wireless, I'm not sure if it's Bluetooth compliant.
