If by AC, you mean does it have an 802.11AC wireless router built in, the answer is no. This is strictly a modem, no router included. I don't usually ever buy combination units. Wireless tech changes too fast and if I decide I want a new router, don't want to have to buy a new modem to get it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This modem does not have "AC" however, it supports 802.11ac. The "AC" has to do with the speed on the wireless connection. This cable modem sends and receives from an Internet provider. Once the signal reaches the modem from the outside, it is usually connected to a wireless router that then enables the signal to be sent wirelessly. This is where the 802.11ac would apply. Some models integrate the modem and the router. If that is the case, then a modem/router would list the "AC" in the specs. The combined modem/router in my opinion is a more risky purchase. As with any combined product, if one fails, both must be replaced.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This modem does not have an AC band as it is a modem only, with one Ethernet port to be connected to a wireless router of your preference. The Best Buy employee you talked to should be terminated or sent back to preschool as the even the info on the box should have allowed them to accurately describe the features to you. Best Buy only offers one Cable Modem with an AC wireless router built in, the NETGEAR - AC1750 Dual-Band Wireless-AC Router with DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem, Model #C6300-100NAS. Hope this helps!

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.AC is in relation to 802.11 WiFi - There are cable modems, and then there are hybrid cable modem / WiFi Motorola does make a Hybrid but it is not model SB6141 - it is model SBG6782 and costs twice as much as the straight cable modem
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This is NOT a wireless router. Therefore it has No WiFi. Select and purchase a wireless router or step up to the one that DOES have wireless for about $220.
