Yes! I have the exact same modem and router combo for Triple Play (I currently only have Internet only). Worked/works perfectly. However, I'd recommend a better router (wireless-ac versus n/b)...I find the N600 lacking in its wireless speed (max avg 25 Mbps)...esp if you're paying big bucks for Comcast's high-tier internet

The link indicator on the front of the modem will indicate the transfer speed to the router by color. Make sure you download and read the manual from the vendor before installing.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.We have Comcast TV and internet and are using the SB6141 with a D-Link N300 router (DIR-605L) so it sounds like yours will work. To me, the worst part of set-up when the modem was new was getting through to Comcast on the telephone.

Plug it in, replacing your existing Comcast modem, contact Comcast support and tell them the MAC address of this modem (which is on a label on bottom of the modem and also on the paper that comes in the modem's box), and they'll activate the modem on their network. Then plug the ethernet cable from your Netgear into the ethernet port on the modem. You should be good to go.

Comcast is trying to get everyone to go to DOCSIS 3.0. We have Comcast for the Internet and xfinity x1 TV system which is impressive and worth it. It is cloud based so you can access it anywhere.
