• You have to set the password for the wifi Because the factory password is very long and cumbersome . factory password is printed under the router. also you need to change the admin password from the default "password" to something else. i recommend something easy to remember or some string of number or letter that is printed on the router or your phone number in reverse . That way you will never lose it you also want do disable the guest mode (default off i think) so nobody is sucking of your internet it take about 30 min to set the router up

• you must call your IP provider and they will talk you thru the setup but you do not have to hardwire to computer. Your IP will have to get information from the box so it will know your location.

• Yes, plug in power and Ethernet cords and your good for Internet. It may ask to install device but you'll still be good.

• I used a Windows laptop computer on a direct Ethernet connection to the router in order to set up & configure the wireless wi-fi settings. It took a few minutes.

• When I plugged mine in, it was set with all devices, including laptop. Just find your wireless password and plug it in when prompted.

• as long as it is wireless no need to hook to computer. I was able to sync all my devices with a computer.
