• Yes, the satellite also has 4 ethernet port ( 1WAN, 1LAC and 2 more LAN ports) same as the main unit

• The router and satellite are identical hardware. Whichever unit is connected via its WAN port to your cable modem is the root unit.

• Each device has 3 LAN ports. There's no "main satellite" in the sense that you must attach a specific device to your modem. Both are exactly the same. You just get two of the same when buying the bundle. So you'll have 3 LAN ports on each device.
