The S34 features two Ethernet ports that can connect to separate cable internet services—provided your ISP supports multiple IP addresses. The top port supports speeds up to 2.5 Gbps, ideal for multi-gig plans, while the bottom port offers 1 Gbps for standard broadband connections. Because residential internet service typically includes only one public IP address, only one device—such as a router—should be connected directly to the S34 modem. The router will receive the public IP address from your cable provider, and you can then connect your PC (and other devices) to the router for internet access.
