No, this cable modem will not work with satellite ISPs. In fact, most off the shelf cable modems like this are not able to be used with satellite internet. Cable modems currently use frequencies between 42 MHz and 1.2 GHz, using DOCSIS modulation. The LNB downconverters used with direct-broadcast satellite (DBS) services use frequencies between 950 MHz and 2.25 GHz, while DBS receivers don’t use DOCSIS modulation.
