I think the cable might be the same between the old and new mixamp. But if you bought the protection plan then go have it replaced for free. Otherwise go to Astro's website and order a replacement cable from there. My kid broke his cable for his A10 headset and I just ordered a replacement from Astro directly along with an extra for my A40 just in case I broke mine.

You then can pay the difference to get something else including the new version of the a40s. They might be more open since you're trying to replace yours with the same headphones though
