A:Answer Contrary to ASUS support, the UEFI BIOS is *not* locked, and you can run whatever OS is capable of running on the hardware. ASUS has info on their website for entering the BIOS and booting from USB. Do a search for "asus e203ma How to enter BIOS configuration?" You'll need to turn off secure boot and fast boot and also allow booting from USB devices. There are some youtube videos that ASUS has put out for doing this, but we can't post links in the comments. You'll probably find more info in the related videos from that search.
FYI, Linuxmint 19.1 runs quite nicely on the E203.
