Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, you would have to unscrew and remove the entire bottom cover to upgrade the RAM. It's not very difficult and can be done in 15 minutes. There are teardown guides on Youtube that can show you how to do it.

Get a pry tool (I used a zip tie, credit cards are a common trick as well) and it's fairly easy to open after you take the screws out. You can always pay a local PC shop (or some guy off CL) to do that for you.
