A:Answer Memory upgrade needs to be very specific.
1) Cannot use AMP setting to boost speed. (Motherboard BIOS does not support).
2) Must run at 3300 as its base setting.
3) Cannot be more than 1.2 V.
I used Crucial 16GB (2 x 8GB) 260-Pin DDR4 SO-DIMM DDR4 3200 (PC4 25600) Laptop Memory Model CT2K8G4SFRA32A and that worked. Kingston also has compatible memory but it costs more. The two sticks above should cost $60 to $70.
I also got 2 X 8GB sticks at once to upgrade. You can try to speed match the single 8GB stick the machine comes with, but that can be tricky. The OEM is made by Micron and so in theory is similar to the Crucial memory mentioned above, but I just went for the two stick replacement,
Download HWINFO to check what speed everything is running at, so you can verify RAM speed, and many other details as well.
