You can do it yourself. The plastic casing near the ports can easily be broken when taking the lower cover off, so make sure you are using a proper computer/cell phone pry tool. Don't use a screw driver or butter knife. However, once the case is open, it's easy to get to all the components. I replaced the ram with 2 16gb sticks of ram, added a second 512 gb ssd, and added a 2TB hhd. It probably took me about 30 minutes. Just watch a breakdown YouTube video to see where everything goes.
