I am a college grad student and bought this as a secondary computer for papers and online work. If you are simply using it for these basic tasks then yes! Do not expect to run multiple programs at once or gaming. It is a good work machine and can handle internet usage, skype, Spotify, office, etc very well!

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I would say yes if it is light duty and you do not plan to ever take the laptop to school for use in a classroom setting. The fan is really loud and on high all the time. Not suitable for quiet classroom environment. Also, if higher end tasks will be run, this laptop will leave you for wanting. I would not recommend running things like MatLab, AutoCAD, etc. Office suite ok.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Absolutely, my nephew is doing College work on it! Most anything including your smartphone can do Microsoft Office (Word & Powerpoint) and basic wedbrowsing research! This machine can do the same but bigger and better!!!
