Can I buy Windows 7 and load it onto this laptop? null

Sure you can. But not from Microsoft. They don't sell it anymore. But don't waste your money. I hate windows 8 too. On the other hand windows 8.1 is nice. Plus windows 10 is coming soon.

Microsoft Windows 8 64-bit operating system is preinstalled and provides a stable platform for word processing, Web navigation, gaming, media storage and more.

The laptop was only certified to run WIDOWS 8.1. You can install WINDOWS 7 at your own discretion.
