No, it runs an operating system called chrome OS which enables you do use it with the chrome browser, web based apps like office 365 or googles office tools. It can also run android apps through the google play store. If you put windows on this, it'd wheeze pretty badly. chrome OS is a much smaller, faster OS. You might find that you can do most if not everything you do with windows with a chromebook. Look for some guides on windows to chromebook migration to see how.
