I can transcode, run simulations, run games and do video editing on this without much to worry about. ROG laptops always have great cooling and this one is no exception. Paired with the SSD's you could make this your primary laptop. I do a bit of programming on this but I do that with a seperate keyboard (never had a laptop with a good keyboard for typing very fast). For the average to moderate user, you are set for a few years here. The only exceptions that comes to mind? 1. Oculus Rift. Don't look at laptops for that right now. 2. Weight. This thing is pretty heavy. 3. If you're in extreme situations you need more durability and this isn't something I'd toss around.
