“I can't get the Dell DVD/CD external player or my scan snap to work with this computer . Any suggestions?”

• Though maybe obvious to many, I was moving to Windows 10 from W7 with this computer and learned that Windows Media Player is no longer standard/free part of W10 (and maybe need to purchase). I downloaded freeware, such as VLC media player; and it still took some restarting of computer for it to recognize my external DVD player.

• Did you try the both usb slots(left one and right one)? Sometimes you need to plug and unplug couple times. It may work after that.
