“I need wired ethernet connection in addition to wifi. Since there is no RJ jack, is there any reason this laptop would not support using a USB-3 to ethernet adapter? Also, is this HDMI 1.4 or 2 - I want to drive an external 4k display at 60hz.”

• If still useful, Asus support said that it is HDMI 1.4. (and I've used notebook with USB-ethernet adapter)
