YES, you absolutely can add an M.2 SSD to this. When you unscrew the bottom and removed it, there is a clearly marked spot for a 2280mm M.2 SSD and it works very well. I purchased this laptop from BB for my wife's birthday and added m.2 and 2.5in SSD and she is very pleased. Please note that removing the bottom and adding anything immediately voids your warranty. I am not concerned with this since I work in IT and am extremely confident in my tech skills.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It's a good point about voiding your warranty. That said, there are no warranty-voiding seals or anything. FWIW, the salesman opened the display model up right in front of me to show me how easy it is. If you replace something, hang on to the original item so you can put it back in should you need to seek warranty repairs on the unit. I believe it is an actual full-fledged NVES M.2 connection (not SATA). Everything else is right there to, the HD, battery. Not as easy as replacing parts in a desktop, but a lot easier than most other modern laptops!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No. I wrote the review about upgrading it with an SSD. I was looking for an m2 slot but didn't see one. Also, it only has one single ram slot for upgrading ram. I'm assuming there is an 8gig on board and the slot has a 4gig (or visa versa) . I upgraded with a 2.5 ssd sata drive.
