You need to turn off adaptive brightness... I hated it too! Windows 8.1 Press the Windows (Image: icon_Windows8_key.png) key + C, or swipe in from the right edge of the screen to open your Charms. Select the Settings charm, and then click Change PC settings. Tap or click on PC and devices, then select Power and sleep. Locate Adjust my screen brightness automatically. If this setting is not present, your device is not equipped with a light sensor. Tap to slide the slider under this option to On or Off depending on your preference.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I haven't noticed the screen being too dark except when the computer is running on battery power. When plugged in, the screen is fine. I would look at the power scheme selected for your computer to make sure it isn't dimming the screen.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, Screen is very dim. I returned laptop after verifying from local best buy store
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I've had to turn down the brightness several notches, especially at dusk, before I turn on my office lights. I've not tried to use it outside, but it seems very bright to me.
