“Would you buy now, wait for Back to School sales, or go with Apple? Looking to buy a decent product for someone as a gift. Mainly used for at home business needs, wireless internet, occasional videos, paying bills, etc. Would you recommend this product? What are the pros and cons, in today's market? Will Window 8 last? What about the end of Internet Explorer? Have used Kaspersky before and it has protected devices well. Not too computer savvy, as you can tell LOL. Looking to take info off old PCs (2 Windows XPs & Windows 7 starter) and hopefully only use 1 PC. Is there a big learning curve with Windows 8? It looks like there are lots of graphics. Looking to clear out closet... Too many older/dying devices: - Bought a MacBook Air the 1st year they came out and haven't really used it (because word processing & spreadsheets are on old Windows PCs) plus learning curve time demands. - Have an older iPod touch...starting to die. - Have 1st gen iPad mini...love it, but problems with selection printing, cannot add footers, etc. -Also had an older Android eReader that accesses the Internet...way past its prime. - Have a Compaq Windows XP laptop - Have a Toshiba Windows XP netbook - Have an ASUS Eee seashell PC (Windows 7 starter) - Custom built desktop computer Windows 98 Product purchased will be used by 2 adults, mostly 1, no social media, video chats, etc. Just business use, printing, Internet, & occasional videos.”
