• Yes this comes with an HDMI port and i use it with my laptop regularly. Sadly it doesn't come with an HDMI cable though.

• The monitor does not come with an HDMI cable. It does come with a VGA and a DVI. I hooked my laptop using the VGA cable.

• The VS228H-P MONITOR comes with Signal Input : HDMI, D-Sub (VGA), DVI-D.The monitor comes with D-Sub and DVI cables, but it does not come with HDMI cable: http://www.asus.com/us/Monitors_Projectors/VS228HP/#specifications
