Yes, 144hz via HDMI. I played on my Acer Predator Helios 300 and hit 144hz via HDMI. Xbox one x has variable refresh rate, but nothing hits 144hz on xbox.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes actually you can! I'm not sure why the certified Asus person said you couldn't but this monitor has HDMI 1.4 or higher and comes with a High Speed HDMI cable which will allows you to reach 144hz @ 1080p, change the HZ in your graphics driver settings in the resolution tab. I was worries cause I have a laptop and only a hdmi.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can never get a 144hz refresh rate through hdmi cable. Hdmi only supports up to 60 to 120 hz because most hdmi cables are only 1.4 which is higher in latency. Display port is the only way to get the highest frames possible from a higher refresh rate monitor other than dvi.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It comes down to the cable to be honest. DVI and DisplayPort are the more commonly used cables that support 144hz, but there are also SOME HDMI cables that also support it. You have to remember to actually change it to 144hz, because it doesn't automatically do it for you once you plug in a cable to a PC or console.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, you will need DP/DUAL LINK DVI-D.
