Will this work as a node with AiMesh? null

This router does have a setting to allow it to be an AiMesh node and easy setup tools.

Yes. All of the current generation ASUS consumer-grade router models in the AC1750 series and above support AiMesh, although some may need the latest firmware upgrade. The last-generation AC66U b1 models will support it with a firmware update. Older or slower models (AC1300, etc) will not.
