Its subtle out of the box and if you don't like it you can adjust the brightness.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Actually, the blue plastic in the center of the "cave" does not light up at all. The only light I've noticed is a very small, single, dot above the ASUS logo (but below the blue "cave"). This small light does not stay on all the time. I noticed it light up for a a minute or so after turning on the router or changing settings. Hope this helps.
