This PC can go to 16GB of RAM. Been looking at doing a RAM upgrade myself, and I noticed according to the BIOS the 8GB stick already installed uses 1.5V. Most of the 8GB ones I was pricing out like yours are 1.2V, being that's the DDR4 standard and all. If you just added the new memory in addition to the old, try removing the old memory and just use the new. If it works you'll probably have to replace the original memory to get to 16GB.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I would try to install one stick at a time. So take old ram out and put one stick in slot 1 and start the computer then shut it down and install second one. Or if you are using 1 (16GB) ram them make sure it's in slot 1.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.DDR4 8GB is supposedly x2 the speed of DDR3. Thus, no need for an upgrade for me for some 5 years.
