Asus - Desktop - Intel Core i5 - 8GB Memory - 1TB Hard Drive - Gray is a superb value priced desktop unit. So pleased with the speed of the unit. It replaced my much more HP desktop and has dramatically improved my user experience on the WWW.

this pc is a very good pc espesally for the price that I had got it for but there is no gpu card in it or a power supply that could handle a gpu but with a simple 50 more dollars I was able to put a power supply in it and used my friends old gpu great if you want a very solid pc experience

Right out of the box it loaded up quick but had to wait at least 45 minutes for all the updates before I can actually use it. Its fast and smooth and very quiet. It doesn't come loaded with any programs not even to watch dvd movies had to load my own copy of cyberlink. I have 2 issues, one is that sticker on the back if you open the case to uprade it will void the warranty. The other is it only comes with one pci-16 slot for a video card and that's it besides one more slot for memory. No room for upgrading.

Some more water has passed under the bridge since I wrote the "No Fluke - Dead on Arrival" review. Best Buy was gracious in allowing me to exchange the DOA PC I received when I returned the unit to the store. Thankfully, there was one in stock and upon request, the associates opened the replacement PC in-store to check that it was bootable. The unit ran the initial boot cycle without any hitches. I took the unit home and set it up. It has been running flawlessly since 3/30/16. The specs are very good for the price and for what my kids use this PC for, the Intel Core i5; 8 gigs DDR 4 memory; 1 terabyte hard drive; 2 USB 3.1 ports; 2 USB 3.0 ports; very good sound card; among others, are well worth the price of asking. The unit is very quiet, and boots up fairly quickly even without a Solid State Drive, which I intend adding in due course. So far, so good. ASUS should still get to the bottom of what is causing some of the units to malfunction out of the box. This working unit deserves a full 5 stars!

I was looking for a desktop for our church secretary, and this one fit the bill nicely. easy to set up, and it is fast for the money. Don't need a big gaming machine so this worked well.

I bought this computer when it was the deal of the day and got a great price on the computer. Overall, I have no real complaints as it runs as I would expect something right out of the box would. It plays most games at a decent resolution and FPS as it is. I will be upgrading the computer with a new graphics card and really see what the i5 can do, but so far I'm more than satisfied with the computer. The hard drive size is decent as well, and with as cheap as external memory has become, even easier to upgrade and never even have to crack open the case.

I replaced my old desktop with this computer. It seems ok but windows 10 that comes on it took some getting used to. The computer is not as fast as I imagined it would be, but is satisfactory. Best Buy had a better price on this than Fry's had but their warranty is more expensive. Overall quite pleased with my purchase.

The negative reviews all dealt with a bios upgrade issue. Mine had Windows 10 on it and worked without a hitch. Lot of computer for a low price. The one thing I dislike is the warranty tag on the case. I plan to install a solid state drive and a video card but as I understand it, that voids the warranty. I plan to ask Asus about that.

Old HP was chokingly slow. Call my computer guru for suggestions for a new one and all he would recommend was at least an i5 processor and not an H.P. The video is much clearer and brighter than the H.P. and audio sounds much crisper with more definition. The computer is loaded with tracking spyware of over 250 types so it is imperative to have it cleaned right away. There is a warranty seal on the case which voids warranty if you want to add memory or upgrade so make sure you you are happy as is. Only problem so far is computer would lock up in sleep mode with default settings. Cleared up when I changed settings. So far I am happy and found it a good value at $549.00.

I purchased this computer as a replacement for my aging Dell Dimension 8400. While this unit is not an ultimate gaming rig, or a server, it does perform all the tasks that I need it to do. Its CPU is fast enough to play games, it has enough memory to render video streams without excessive buffering, and has HDMI output so I can connect it to my HD TV. The built in WiFi and bluetooth work well, with no lagging that I have noticed. The Hard drive is a 1TB unit, so I have no worries about storage space. The one concern I have about this unit is lack of expansion slots. It has 1 PCI-e16 slot and one PCI-e1 slot and thats it, no regular PCI slots at all, but so far I haven't needed to add any peripherals. All in all, I give it a thumbs up!

This a really good PC! So far, I've updated it with a GTX 970, a SSD, more RAM and a new PSU. It's running better than ever. I'm really happy with the purchase of this PC. I've been using it for gaming, 3d design and VR development. I've tested it with an Oculus Rift and it runs flawlessly. Even without the updates, the PC already had a good performance.

I am enjoying the speed of this computer. Windows 10 is new to me and has proven to be a bit challenging but I am gradually mastering it. The computer size works well for the space I have for it.

This is a great computer for the price. I was looking for a gaming computer that I could upgrade in the future, but they were pretty expensive. Then the sales associate at Best Buy recommended this one and upgrading the video card. I saved hundreds of dollars and got a screaming gaming computer.

This PC has a great spec for the price. When it works it is awesome. But I had to return it because it refused to boot after a few days. I tried to reset the PC from Windows 10. I would get different error messages every time I reboot. I tried to look at the BIOS settings to find the problem but the BIOS screen would freeze frequently. Other things that bothered me are the build quality and the sticker that voids the warranty if I open the case to add HDD or memory.

I bought this PC to perform some basic computer functions such as internet browsing, Microsoft Office, emailing and entry level photo edits. The PC is great for all of the above functions with no delays in processing any of my requests. I can also run a virus scan and still use the PC with only a slight delay in response time from other applications. Overall I'm very pleased with this purchace.
