• I purchased this for my daughter; starts college next month. She confirmed that it does have an illuminated keyboard. It was her choice to have a chrome book. I purchased the Ausus as it was the highest quality for the money as suggested by a good friend who is a computer genius by my standards.

• Yes it does! It has a backlit keyboard toggled by the Fn Button and the spacebar. click once for low, twice for high, three times for off.
