Absolutely. Feel free to checkout the pcmasterrace subreddit (reddit.com/r/pcmasterrace. We love to see a new member join the PC gaming community. The recommended are a GTX 1060 with 3 GB dedicated RAM. This will absolutely be good. Possibly a little overpowered, but this is a great build. I purchased it Sunday because it was similar to one I was going to build myself, but was less expensive with a few extra bells and whistles: wifi, media card support, 1 TB dedicated 2nd hard drive. Absolutely future proof. This will be solid as is for at least three years if not more.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The GTX 1060 outperforms both the PS4 and the Xbox One. It ranks in the top 12% of all graphics cards in benchmark tests. You will be able to play all current games at max settings at 1080p, and you may be able to play some at 1440p and even 4K resolutions. Is it future proof? Not really. Graphics cards are never truly "future proof". If you are hoping to play games at 4K resolutions soon, the answer is no. If you are happy with 1080p with max settings, then yes. It just depends on what you are looking to do.

Example: The 1060 is only a small bit more powerful then a 980 but the 980ti is more powerful then the 1060. Anyways I always get the 70, 80, or 90 of the series. In 2013 I got the 780 when it first came out and have only upgraded it last November. It lasted me a good while. Honestly I only upgraded because I had the money to do it. Most graphic cards are only good for 2-3 yrs before a stronger one is needed to keep up with the newer games. Unless you don't mind playing those games at a lower graphic setting.

It's also Oculus ready. This is an awesome machine.
