Have you tried flipping the switch on the unit there is an option for DOCSIS 3.1. Also it's not mentioned but when I researched I found that a MoCA filter is recommended on the cable as it comes into the house, to prevent the signal to go out of your house and interfere or subject you to possible security issues.
