PCIe is backwards compatible. Just because the specifications require a PCIe 4.0 connection doesn't mean it will not work with motherboards that support 3.0, 2.0, etc. If you research a bit, you will find that there will be little-to-no differences in the power of the graphics card. The only cards negatively affected by the "PCIe 4.0" requirement are low-end cards with little VRAM (like the RX 5500 which has 4GB of VRAM). If there isn't enough VRAM, then the system has to go the system's installed RAM to make the card work. 12GB is more than enough, i.e., the RTX 4070 will work just fine in your Aurora R11. How do I know? It works in my Aurora R7.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, this will not work with an Alienware Aurora R11.
