Yes, I was able to do it but it wasn't as easy as other laptops I've worked on. The HDD has a weird shielding with some kind of adhesive on it. If you're somewhat knowledgeable with computers and laptops it shouldn't be all that tough. I was able to do it in less then an hour. Keep it mind you have to clone the drive. I did that using my desktop.
