QuestionThe Best Buy specs say it has 6GB DDR4 SDRAM (2133 Mhz) with a maximum of 12GB but only one memory slot. Is that true or are there two memory slots since SODIMM only comes in 4GB and 8GB?

- Answer There are 4GB that you can't remove and 2GB in the slot that you can change out to 4GB or 8GB to max it out to 12GB (replace existing 2GB stick with 4GB stick).

QuestionCan I change out the hdd for an ssd or is their an existing expansion slot?

- Answer Yes, you can replace the 1TB 5,400 rpm (fairly slow) hard drive with an SSD. It's fairly easy, as long as you're reasonably handy with a screwdriver. I replaced mine with a 256GB Toshiba Q Pro SSD. Runs very, very fast. Boot-up is nearly instant, and that's WITH BitLocker installed on the boot partition. Get one.

- Answer The specifications clearly state that there IS NO DVD player or disc tray in this model.

- Answer There's a Button for turning on your backlit, find it in one of your Function keys, ex. F1- F12, fund the symbol that looks like a keyboard icon with flash.

- Answer It works really well. I bought this about 4 weeks ago and I haven't had to type my password not even once the fingerprint reader has worked every single time for me on the first try and you don't need to apply much pressure either.

- Answer Aluminum top, aluminum on keyboard, plastic on bottom. Build quality is good, but compared with an HP 360 about on par, Can't compete with the better HP spectre brand tho. BUT price wise, it's just as good. No loud noise at all--left it on for hours while updating Win 10 and can barely hear it. When it shuts down I barely notice the noise either. Fan relatively quiet. Does not heat up very much

- Answer It varies; using power-saving techniques (lowering screen brightness, turning off WiFi, BlueTooth, etc) you can get close to 10 hours. Typical, however, is 7 to 8.5 hours. Pretty good for an i5 processor.

QuestionI bought this Lapto last week. I have experieced some problems. 1. Taking very long to boot up. 2. On Task Manager, Disk Utilization is always 100%. This could causes long boot-up time. Any one have experienced these isssues and get solutions?

- Answer I had bought it too and it would not take updates from Microsoft and kept in a continuous loop of downloading updates until I logged into website then contacted support via chat to have them take over and find issues, fix them, then they updated me to the Windows Creator Edition and have not had any problems since It actually helped smooth out how it boots up, boots down, and runs. Now I have a great looking and great running laptop.

- Answer ddr4 ram 2133 Mhz not ddr3, the ddr3 was from the old i756200u version of this laptop, the new one has ddr4

QuestionDoes the Bamboo ink pen work wit this laptop

- Answer The Bamboo Ink pen will only work with the Q304UA 2017 model number B15T24 that has been upgraded to 8gb of ram and to be fully windows ink compatible. An active pen, including the Bamboo Ink, will NOT work on the 2016/early 2017 model B15T10 or B15T11 with 6gb of ram. Windows Ink is enabled on those models, but not active pen compatibility. My wife and I have been struggling with this issue since purchasing a Q304UA after testing one at Best Buy... But then discovering afterwards their display model is a B15T24 and not a more common (and significantly more affordable) B15T11 which we purchased.

- Answer Only one slot is available. It is under a metal shield. I was going to upgrade the memory but put in a SSD instead and it did wonders.

- Answer No, not to 16 gb. But you can purchase an 8 gb stick to upgrade to a total 12 gb. The board has a 4gb soldered, so you can only add to one slot which is upto 8gb. I went with Crucial for memory and samsung evo for ssd, but you can of course go with whatever brand you like better.

- Answer I had the same issue and went to BestBuy store to ask. Turns out they sent an email right away that had Kasperky info on it. I did an email search of BEST BUY and found it, not problem.

QuestionHow is the audio for this model? it is any good?

- Answer The audio is clear and loud. I tried in the store and compared to a couple of other similar size laptops and this by far was the best. In a quieter setting, like my house, the audio sounds even better. I don't expect a great range of sound considering the size of the laptop and speakers, but it is more than adequate for playing movies and you can still hear the sounds when you flip the screen. This was not the case with all of the 2 in 1's that I tried.

- Answer i had this problem too. could be one or two things. 1. new computer needs updates installed. run update and restart. 2. the device has an error, go into device manager, look for microsoft input configuration device (it may be hidden) and update driver software. i ended up uninstalling the device and did a restart and it auto reinstalled and has worked fine since.
