I had bought it too and it would not take updates from Microsoft and kept in a continuous loop of downloading updates until I logged into website then contacted support via chat to have them take over and find issues, fix them, then they updated me to the Windows Creator Edition and have not had any problems since It actually helped smooth out how it boots up, boots down, and runs. Now I have a great looking and great running laptop.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I too have this laptop and noticed it would often run really slow if I didn't use it for a week or two... Often due to Windows releasing an update that it insisted that I get. Once Windows would update, it would be fine, but, it was such a nuisance because when I want to use my laptop, I don't want to wait for it to do a stupid update. However, last night it crashed after a slow boot up, check disk ran twice overnight and was unable to fix it, and apparently the hard drive is failing based on the error messages. My husband is currently trying to recover my files before we send it in under warranty. I'm not happy... I've only had it since February 2017. However Asus is responsive even on a Sunday. I am not looking forward to not having my laptop for a couple weeks for repairs, but, hopefully it will not happen again. When it works, it works great! But when it doesn't, it is very frustrating. I've never had issues with Asus laptops like this, but, I suspect this is more a forced Windows 10 Update issue than an Asus issue.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I bought this computer and it started running slow right before the hard drive crashed. Happened to me again with a brand new computer.
