Yes, you can replace the 1TB 5,400 rpm (fairly slow) hard drive with an SSD. It's fairly easy, as long as you're reasonably handy with a screwdriver. I replaced mine with a 256GB Toshiba Q Pro SSD. Runs very, very fast. Boot-up is nearly instant, and that's WITH BitLocker installed on the boot partition. Get one.
