There are 4GB that you can't remove and 2GB in the slot that you can change out to 4GB or 8GB to max it out to 12GB (replace existing 2GB stick with 4GB stick).

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.There is 4GB of DDR4 on board and one slot which is occupied by a 2GB DD4-2133 SODIMM. You can swap the 2GB memory with an SODIMM as high as 16GB DDR4. I have a 16GB DDR4-2400 SODIMM in my machine for a maximum of 20GB. Therefore, the confirmed maximum is 20GB and not 12GB.
